Recuperando unas cosas que le envié a una amiga inglesa hace tiempo y que me han hecho gracia.
Que bien que traduje y explique nuestras fiestas populares de estas fechas que se avecinan.

Well, we do dome some family meetings, and do dome weird cultural thingies specially for children and all that. We use to meet on 24th (Nochebuena ("Goodnight") and 25th December (Navidad ("Xmas")). Also on 31th December (Nochevieja ("Oldnight)), 5th January (Noche de Reyes (King's Night)) and 6th January (Dia de Reyes (King's Day)). Here, in Spain we do both Santa Claus and the King's Night for giving gifts to the children. The traditional one was the later. The former was introduced cause the kids complained a lot about not having time to play with the new toys in the holidays!!! I don't know if you knew about the Kings' Night. The Kings are the three Magic Kings (Melcior, Casper and Baltasar) who briught gifts to the newborn Jesus.
Also, in Catalonia (the region in which is Barcelona) we have the "tio" (the uncle). The tio is a wooden log, with some nice face painted on a side. The log is covered under a blanket with some gifts (which the parents put) and then the kids appear with a stick and hit the log to make him...eeer... do these things the rest of us humans to in a WC... So he puts out some nice gifts. It's quite funny cause the days before the kids give food to the log so he "puts out" a lot of gifts (and the parents stealthily take the food). It's a pity the kids in my family have grown enough to know about all the secrets about that (just two or three of them are little). And the next generation (which i should be responsible...) it's not ready yet :-P
For 31th December i use to be with friends better, cause i always go out in Barcelna and the family meets in my town, so it's quite a problem to take a car and all that to get into Barcelona.

Por lo demás, no sé que coño hizo el corrector ortográfico del word que me desmontó algunas palabras o algo.

Me ha hecho mucha gracia el texto en inglés de Kentucky, pero más gracia me han hecho esos doble paréntesis (((tipo matemáticas) que tanto le gusa usar a Crom) y que son tan útiles).
